David Selby gave a keynote presentation at the 6th Hellenic Association of Environmental Educators’ Conference, Thessaloniki, Greece, 30 November – 2 December 2012. The conference theme was Education for the Environment and Sustainability Today. David’s keynote was titled Thoughts from a Darkened Corner: Sustainability Education in Times of Crisis. The conference was held at the Research Dissemination Centre of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, some 350 educators attending.

David also facilitated a three-hour workshop at the conference, Ready for the Storm? Climate Change and its Implications for Learning and Teaching for Sustainability. The workshop was repeated for Thessaloniki teachers on Monday 3 December at the Environmental Education Centre of Thessaloniki. Each workshop was attended by some forty participants.

David also attended the thirtieth anniversary celebration of the Ecological Centre of Thessaloniki on 2 December 2012.
