As a key legacy of the five-year, 2014-2019, Super Global High School (SGH) initiative of Tamagawa Academy, Tokyo Japan (click here), Fumiyo Kagawa and David Selby have developed a teacher handbook, working closely with Tamagawa Academy teachers.
SDGs: A Teaching and Learning Handbook for Teachers includes 95 activities covering various issues and topics related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and organized according to the following five thematic areas: poverty, environment, human rights, diplomacy and international cooperation. Many of the activities were field tested in Tamagawa Academy classrooms and finalized by integrating teacher and student feedback received.
The book is to be published in Japanese on 15 February 2024 by Tamagawa University Press. Book ordering has started through major online Japanese book sellers. For further information click here . To download a book flyer, click here.
